OSINBAJO EXCITED BY CROSS-RIVER INDUSTRIAL PARK

The Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has expressed his delight at the Cross River Industrial Park, saying it will soon grow to become one of the biggest business hubs in Africa.

He said this during his working visit to the state, adding that the park would not only bring development closer to the residents of the state but would go a long way in the development of the country.

The park consists rice city, Calaparm and garment factory and according to Osinbajo, it is a big project to fast-track economic growth and development of the state.

Earlier at the palace of the Obong of Calabar, Ndidem Ekpo Otu V, tehacting president called for support for the Federal Government while also urging militants in the Niger Delta to sheath their swords.

According to him, it is when there is peace and security that development can touch every part of the country and the present administration is ready to touch every region in its developmental programmes.

On his part, the number one citizen of the state (state governor), Prof Ben Ayade, said that the industrial park and other projects in the state were aimed at making Cross River State an enterprise state and stamp out unemployment in all its ramifications.

Earlier, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Brigadier-General Paul Boroh (retd), had urged law enforcement agents in the region to give their best in protecting the country by providing adequate security for the people in the area.
