Wizkid replies a fan who talked down on his contribution to “One Dance” – says he wrote a little part, not al

While our Nigerian celebrities are out there working their asses out to achieve their goals and attain greater heights which will not only bring glory to them alone but to the Nigerian music industry as a whole, some fans are down here questioning the authenticity of reports regarding their global achievements. Ever since ASCAP handed Wizkid an award for his lyrical contribution to Drake’s “One Dance,” there’s been questions about the certainty of the report.

Some folks doubt that Wizkid contributed in writing Drake’s “One Dance,” as they do not see the possibility of him writing a globally received and celebrated American hit song, even when a quick check on Wikipedia confirms him to be one of the writers of the song. Wizkid came on board to clear the air by replying a fan who tried to undermine his contribution to the song. Some of his twitter fans actually thought he wrote the whole song. So a fan sarcastically wrote

“People in the replies think Wizkid wrote the whole song,” followed by LMAO emojis. Wizzy then replied him thus; “Lol. I know I had just a little contribution. Drake is an amazing artiste. You all should leave that!!!” Wizzy also embraced the occasion to inform the public that Nigerian producer Sarz was also involved in the production of the song.
