Revealed: How EFCC Linked Senate President, Saraki, Aides to N3.5 billion Paris Club Refund

Image
On Sunday, Nigerians learnt of an explosive report the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission forwarded to President Muhammadu Buhari about alleged corrupt practices by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki. In the March 10 correspondence to the president, the anti-graft agency detailed how Mr. Saraki — in connivance with his aides and associates – allegedly laundered N3.5 billion traced to the Paris Club loan refund to states. Investigators say Mr. Saraki enlisted the service of a consultant, Robert Mbonu of Melrose General Services Limited, and Kathleen Erhimu, a staff of Access Bank to liaise with his aides and associates to launder the fund. The accused persons are: Mr. Saraki’s Deputy Chief of Staff, Gbenga Makanjuola, and Obiora Amobi, Kolawole Shittu and Oladapo Idowu. (Are these guys named in the letter sent by Magu to Buhari?) When allegations of diversion of parts of the over half a trillion naira Paris Club refund money emerged in February, sparking nationwide c

Alleged Defamation: Nigerians React Bitterly to the Incarceration of Kemi Olunloyo (Photos)

Image
Nigerians on social media have expressed mixed reactions about the lengthy time of Kemi Omololu Olunloyo behind bars over a case of defamation of character against a South-south cleric, Pastor David Ibiyeomie. The Salvation Ministries pastor based in Port Harcourt reportedly ordered the arrest of Kemi Omololu Olunloyo who accused him of adultery and embezzlement of church funds. Madam KOO as she is fondly called has been behind bars for about two weeks with all bail appeals rejected by court despite the fact that her crimes bother on civil offences and not criminal ones thereby not warranting incarceration. Since pictures of an emaciated Madam KOO being paraded in a green prison gown in Port Harcourt emerged, Nigerians have become sympathetic to her fate. A few Nigerians probably offended by her controversial antics on social media regarded as cyber-bullying have remained indifferent about her plight. Madam KOO is a notorious investigative journalist who has in the past at

NNPC Cautions on Phantom Recruitment exercise The Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, has raised the alarm on the existence of some dubious syndicates with specialty in extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public under the pretext of a purported recruitment exercise and promise of phantom job placements in the Corporation. The Corporation in a release by its Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ndu Ughmadu, said the NNPC at this time is not conducting any recruitment exercise noting that the Corporation would advertise vacant positions whenever it has need to embark on a recruitment exercise. Throwing more light on the method of operation of the fake job syndicate, the NNPC explained that the group deploys various means ranging from text messages, social media platforms and forged letters to invite gullible job seekers for non-existing  job interviews after ostensibly extorting money from them. ‘’To this end, we

From all indications, it seems that the the fight between popular singer, Oritsefemi’s ex-manager, Yusuf Adebola Adepitan a.ka Danku, and his former artiste, Rayce is getting messier by the day. The ongoing feud reportedly started after singer, Kingsley Irase, popularly known as Rayce, reportedly quit Danku’s management company for a new label, Jebon Records, without making public what caused the end of their relationship. The afro-beat singer, Rayce, who is now signed on to Jebon records, later released a disclaimer officially disassociating himself from Danku, saying that Danku no longer represents him as a manager. “This is to officially announce to the general public that Danku doesn’t represent our act Rayce any longer,” he Tweeted. In a rather unpleasant response, Danku claimed that Rayce is an ingrate and he once impregnated a lady who they refer to as ‘Ewa the prostitute’ in their text messages. The beef took another turn on Thursday as Danku took to his Instagra

A teenage girl who was auctioning her virginity off to the highest bidder claims she has sold it for £2million, Sun UK reports. The woman identified as Aleexandra Kefren, 18, conducted the auction online with renowned escort agency Cinderella Escorts, which claims it has been inundated with offers from up to 300 other girls looking to cash in on their virginity. Aleexandra says the “hotel is [already] booked” for the big night, and she has already spoken with her “buyer”, who is an unnamed businessman from Hong Kong. The 18-year-old, who is orginally from Romania, said: “I wanted to sell my virginity with Cinderella Escorts rather than giving it to a future friend who might have left me anyway. “And I think many other girls have the same attitude. “How many would possibly forgo their first time in retrospect if they could have £2million instead?” In November Aleexandra appeared on This Morning to discuss her decision to sell her virginity to the highest bidder. This is Why Human Palms Have Lines on Them

Image
The human palms may never cease to amaze, especially because of the lines that crisscross them. Evolutionary biologists say the lines in the palms of our hands are formed in the womb around 12 weeks of pregnancy, and are present on a baby’s hands when born. However, many people believe that an individual’s life history—from birth to whenever—can be revealed when the palm is read by a palmist. There is no science that supports the claim though. Scientifically speaking, experts say, the lines on a palm, otherwise known as palmar flexion creases, help the hand’s skin to stretch and squeeze. They can also help identify certain medical conditions, scientists say. The lines — or, if you will — creases in our hands, enables us to flex our hands easily, with the creases folding in, allowing us to be more dexterous and both hold and grab on to objects. When you clench your hand, palm lines provide an avenue for the hand’s skin to fold without bunching up and making it diffi
